Farm to Fork

Welcome to my farm to fork page where you can find the gardening, harvesting, and preserving tips that we use on our little hobby farm in the upstate of South Carolina.

Farm fresh, farm to table, or farm to fork all mean the same thing: sourcing your ingredients from local farms. What better local farm than your very own backyard? I used to think because I couldn’t keep a house plant alive (and still struggle with this) that I would not be able to raise a garden. Let me tell you friends it’s not as hard as it looks. With the right tools and methods, you can be your own source for farm-fresh produce.

If you’re just starting out with gardening, maybe start with Gardening 101. Laying a proper foundation and having basic knowledge of farming will help with the prep work involved in keeping a productive garden.
