I have done my fair share of cooking, preparing, and preserving from farm-fresh recipes for our family. Sometimes it feels like it’s all I do around here!
When I sat down to compile the recipes that I look forward to making each year when the gardens bear fruit and veggies, I found that I had more than a few to share. That is where this “Vittles” page was born; the farmer helped me name it.
I had to ask him what vittles were, so I decided to define it for y’all above. He said he’s not happy that many words in his vocabulary show up in the dictionary with the words “archaic and obsolete” in the definition.
